Itinerary – Kilimanjaro 6 Days Marangu Route Luxury Trekking

Day 1: Marangu Gate (1,870m) to Mandara Hut (2,720m)

Start your trek at the Marangu Gate, entering the lush rainforest teeming with wildlife and bird species. Reach Mandara Hut for your first overnight stay in comfortable wooden cabins.

Hiking time: 4–5 hours

Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)

Pass through moorland and giant heather as you ascend toward Horombo Hut. Breathtaking views of Mawenzi Peak begin to emerge. Enjoy a warm meal and rest.

Hiking time: 6–8 hours

Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut

Spend the day at Horombo to allow your body to adjust to the altitude. Take a short acclimatization hike toward Zebra Rocks (4,000m) and return for a restful evening.
